HOW IT’S BUILT

Colombian cowhide, cut and assembled by hand in Pasto, Nariño. 15 × 11 in · 38 × 28 cm. Reference 1909.

Leather finishes — Graso: oil-tanned, deepens with use. Natural: vegetable-tanned, untreated surface. Cross: textured grain. Hoja Seca: dry-leaf tone.

WHERE IT CAME FROM

People used to bring us a bag they already owned and ask for it in leather. We would build it — and each time, add the fittings we thought were missing. Those additions are the ones that became standard across everything the workshop makes. It still carries its factory number, because that is what it was called while all of that was being worked out.

WHO MADE YOURS

Every piece is cut, assembled and finished by hand in a workshop in Pasto, Nariño. The design was worked out there, on the floor, with the people who build it.
